Cill Dara Scout County was formed in 2004 when two legacy organisations merged and created one organisation which was CillDara Scout County. It has 13 groups in the county. The County is managed by the County Management Team which consists of all Group Leaders, county treasurer, county secretary, county chair, and county commissioner. These are all elected positions for the term of 3 years. The County Training Commissioner and the County program commissioner are part of the County Commissioners team and these positions are through an open call and are co-terminus with the County Commissioner.
