Beavers
Beavers are aged between 6-9 years. Beavers are the start of a Young person’s journey in the scouting movement. We learn how to get on with each other. We make new scouting friends.
Cubs
Cubs are aged between 9 – 11 years. Cubs are the next stage of a young person’s journey in scouts. We take on a bit more responsibilities by looking after ourselves and each other. We challenge ourselves that bit greater.
Scouts
Scouts are aged between 11-15 years. The Scouts section is the middle of your journey through scouts. It is the start of the real adventure as we take on a wider range of activities including raft building, pioneering backwoods, and water activities.
Ventures
Ventures are aged between 15-17 years. The ventures section is the second last section of your journey. You will have a lot more freedom and more input into your program.
Rovers
Rovers are aged between 18 and 26. It is the last stage of their scouting Journey. Rovers have no set meeting days or times. Rovers offer exciting opportunities whether you’re into rock climbing, kayaking, or something more obscure. You’ll always find someone to share your interests and introduce you to try new things. Of course, there is a social element too, time spent with friends, new and old, and sharing stories is time well spent.
Scouters
Scouters are also known as Leaders. Apart from having fun and creating friendships. The role of a Scouter is that of a mentor or facilitator. You don’t need any previous experience in Scouting, just energy, commitment, and enthusiasm. You can become a once you reach 18.
